Lazarus Re-Elected to AMA Leadership Post
Psychiatrist Jeremy Lazarus, M.D., was re-elected vice speaker of the AMA's House of Delegates during its annual meeting last month in Chicago.
“It is a privilege to be re-elected by my colleagues in the AMA House of Delegates,” Lazarus said. “Together we are physicians dedicated to the health of America. I hope to continue serving as an officer of the AMA and to pursue the noble goals of the profession.”
Lazarus, who is chair of APA's Council on Advocacy and Public Policy, has worked with national leaders on efforts to pass legislation on medical liability reform, Medicare reform, and mental health parity.
He is immediate past president of the Colorado Medical Society, a past chair of the Colorado AMA delegation, a member of the House of Delegates Ad Hoc Committee on Governance, and a past speaker of the APA Assembly.
