Annual Competition
The Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome Information Service (NMSIS) seeks applicants for its second annual competition to recognize promising new investigators based on a scholarly paper on the theme “New Insights on Psychotropic Drug Safety and Side Effects.”
According to the NMSIS, its mission is to advance pharmacotherapy and patient safety. First- and second-place awards of $2,500 and $1,500, respectively, will support travel costs to attend APA's 2006 annual meeting in Toronto in May.
Papers should address specific issues related to the award theme and be no longer than 15 double-spaced, typed pages. Literature reviews, case reports, or original studies that are not in press or published are acceptable.
The primary author must be a student, resident, fellow, or junior faculty member at or below the rank of assistant professor.
The paper and a curriculum vitae of the primary author must be submitted by February 1 to Diane Van Slyke by mail at P.O. Box 1069, 11 East State Street, Sherburne, N.Y. 13460l; by fax to (607) 674-7910; or by e-mail to [email protected]. Winners will be announced by March 1. ▪
