BPA to Hold Conference On St. Kitts

The Black Psychiatrists of America is holding its 26th Transcultural Psychiatry Conference from November 9 to 12 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Hotel and Casino on Frigate Bay in the eastern Caribbean.

The director of the conference, whose theme is “The Implications of Trauma and Natural Disasters in the African Community,” is Gloria Pitts, D.O., the organization's immediate past president and a member of APA's Council on Social Issues and Public Psychiatry.

The program is aimed at physicians, residents, medical students, and others interested in the treatment, health, and well-being of persons of African-American descent affected by the trauma related to the African diaspora.
