The APA Office of International Activities and its components, the Council on Global Psychiatry, Committee on Psychiatric Dimensions of Disasters, and Corresponding Committee on Misuse and Abuse of Psychiatry, will present several timely symposia and workshops at this year's annual meeting. In addition to the many international activities, and in response to Hurricane Katrina's devastation on the Gulf Coast and the subsequent need for disaster psychiatry services, the Committee on Psychiatric Dimensions of Disaster will host two important sessions:
