Members Should Know
Regarding the article “New World of Communication Raises Concerns for M.D.'s” in the January 6 issue, I applaud the attention that this important concept was given. I was dismayed, however, that the article did not refer to the FAQs on Internet use posted on APA's own Web site and prepared by a work group of our members led by the Council on Psychiatry and the Law. The omission of these guidelines from the article was unfortunate, but the omission from the list of resources was a disservice to our members.
The failure to direct members to our own resources prevents the membership from learning that APA is working on important issues that face psychiatrists. This omission also deprives the membership of an important reference tool.
