Hendren Elected AACAP President

Published Online:https://doi.org/10.1176/pn.42.23.0028b

Robert Hendren, D.O., began a two-year term as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's president in October. He is the executive director of the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute and chief of child and adolescent psychiatry for the UC Davis School of Medicine.

Hendren's presidential initiative is the creation of eAACAP—the electronic American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. It will provide information and learning packages from existing and future AACAP programs and activities on childhood mental illnesses. Learning programs will be prepared for separate portals of entry for parents and family members, health and education professionals, and child and adolescent psychiatrists.▪
