APA invites nominations for the Frank J. Menolascino Award for Psychiatric Services for Persons With Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities. This award was established in memory of Frank J. Menolascino, M.D., who was an authority on mental illness in persons with mental retardation/developmental disabilities.

The award honors an APA member who has made significant contributions to psychiatric services for persons with mental retardation/developmental disabilities through direct clinical services and/or dissemination of knowledge in this field through teaching or research.

The award carries an honorarium of $500 and will be presented at the Opening Session of the APA Institute on Psychiatric Services on October 2, 2008.
