IAPA to Meet

The Indo-American Psychiatric Association (IAPA) will hold its annual scientific session, business meeting, and banquet in conjunction with APA's 2008 annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, May 4. The location is I-The Indian Experience (formerly the Ascot Restaurant), at 1708 L Street, N.W.

The scientific session will be held from to 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Prakash Masand, M.D., the Outstanding Academician Award winner, will deliver the lecture “STAR*D: Lessons for the Clinician.”

In addition, the symposium “Creativity and the Second-Generation Indo-American Psychiatrists” will feature two short movies, “The Sky Lab Is Falling” and “The Ravaged,” produced and directed by IAPA members Arshdeep Jawandha, M.D., and Vatsal Thakkar, M.D.

Registration for the IAPA business meeting and banquet will begin at 6 p.m.
