An article in the July 1 issue about DSM-5 and mood disorders stated that Sidney Zisook, M.D., a professor of psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego, wanted the bereavement exclusion for major depressive disorder to remain in the upcoming revision of DSM. This is incorrect. Zisook said that "the bereavement exclusion from major depressive disorder should not remain in DSM-5."
