Public Psychiatry Fellows in the Spotlight
The APA Public Psychiatry Fellowship Program will be celebrating its 30th anniversary at the Institute on Psychiatric Services. Current fellows will present workshops and a symposium on the topics of their choice, while former fellows were invited to present a symposium on the past and future of public psychiatry (see schedule below).
The fellowship provides experiences that contribute to the professional development of residents who will play future leadership roles within public-sector psychiatry and heightens awareness of public psychiatry activities and career opportunities. Since its founding, the fellowship has been awarded to 373 residents, many of whom are now leaders in the field.
The fellowship has gone by other names in the past: the APA/Bristol Myers Squibb Fellowship and the APA Mead Johnson Fellowship.
The institute's headquarters is the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco.
