Ferguson Honored

Yvonne Ferguson, M.D., M.P.H., is the winner of APA's 2007 Jeanne Spurlock Minority Fellowship Achievement Award. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of alumnae and alumni of the APA minority fellowships.

Ferguson practices child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry in Santa Barbara, Calif, where she is chair of the Disaster Mental Health Committee of Cottage Hospital's Department of Psychiatry. She also works with developmentally disabled populations and will be working with homeless patients in her community with Doctors Without Walls. Ferguson also works with tribal members of the Chumash Reservation's Santa Ynez Tribal Health.▪
