The World Psychiatric Association is holding a regional conference in
Nairobi, Kenya, from March 21 to 27, 2007. The theme of the conference is“
Mental Health in Development.”
Pedro Ruiz, M.D., president of APA and secretary of meetings for the WPA,
is encouraging APA members to attend. “This meeting will provide an
excellent opportunity to American psychiatrists to experience cutting-edge
psychiatry in the cradle of mankind under the overall theme of mental health
services in development,” he said.
The conference will be held in the Safari Park Hotel, about 15 minutes from
downtown Nairobi and 30 minutes from Nairobi National Park.
