The World Psychiatric Association (WPA) is seeking proposals for a research
project it will fund that addresses the stigma attached to psychiatric
treatment and to the physicians who provide it.
Research project submissions for the WPA's "Action Plan
2008-2011" from individuals, psychiatry departments, medical societies,
and other institutions are welcome. Proposals must contain a written
description of the project (1,200 words maximum) that includes an
introduction, the project's objectives and methodology, a selection of
references, a list of participating institutions, a timetable, and a detailed
budget. A short, one-page-only curriculum vitae of the proposed principal
investigator(s) is also requested. Proposals must be sent by e-mail to the WPA
