APA invites ethnic minority medical students who have an interest in
psychiatric issues to apply for the 2008 minority medical student scholarships
and awards:
This clinical shadowing program identifies minority medical students who
may have a specific interest in services related to substance abuse
treatment/prevention and provides a setting in which the student can work
closely with a mentor who specializes in addiction psychiatry for one month.
The application deadline is February 28, 2008.
These programs are open to ethnic minority medical students who are U.S.
citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled in a U.S. medical school.
Ethnic minorities are American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Asian
American, African American, and Hispanic/Latino.
