I just wanted to say I enjoy reading Psychiatric News. The
articles are very informative and useful for my practice. I do have one
concern, however. There appear to be a number of articles in each issue that
have headlines such as "Black M.D.s Hope AMA Apology Leads to Better
Care for Minorities" and "German M.D.s Largely Praise
Country's Insurance System."
These are great articles, but they seem to overlook the number of D.O.s who
were probably associated with them as well. Please remember us D.O.s in your
articles and have language such as physicians or psychiatrists instead of D.O.
or M.D. This would go a long way in helping to end the confusion in many
people's minds that psychiatrists are only M.D.s.
