Colibri Jenkins, M.D., has been selected as APA's 2010 Jeanne Spurlock
Congressional Fellow. Jenkins is a third-year psychiatry resident at Tulane
University School of Medicine in New Orleans. During residency she has been
active in patient advocacy and was nominated twice for the Resident Teacher of
the Year Award by graduating medical students. She plans to complete a child
and adolescent psychiatry fellowship with special interest in the
juvenile-justice system after completing the congressional fellowship. She
will begin her fellowship on Capitol Hill in January 2010; it continues
through November 2010. ▪
