Louis Najarian, M.D., a child psychiatrist in Manhasset, N.Y., was recently presented the Mkhitar Heratsi Gold Medal for contributions in the fields of education, science, and medicine by the Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia. He was honored for his continuing volunteer work with victims of the 1988 Armenia earthquake. The award was presented at a conference where he was presenting a research paper on earthquake victims and resilience.
