Volkow Honored by Psychiatry Department Chairs

Nora Volkow, M.D., director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, was presented the Presidential Award for 2017 by the American Association of Chairs of Departments of Psychiatry in May. The organization presents the award each year to a psychiatrist for distinguished scientific achievement and leadership in the field of psychiatry. Volkow was honored for her groundbreaking psychiatric research on drug addiction. ■
