2020 M/UR Elections: How to Participate

Abstract

The Caucus of Asian-American Psychiatrists (one of APA’s seven minority and underrepresented [M/UR] caucuses) is holding an election for three leadership positions this year: president, Assembly representative, and Assembly deputy representative. To be eligible to vote or run in caucus elections, APA members must join their desired caucus as a voting member through their profile on APA’s website by April 1. Also, members are encouraged to check or update their caucus voting preference by April 1.

APA’s M/UR caucuses provide networking opportunities, advance treatment of minority patient populations, advocate for minority mental health issues, provide representation in APA governance, and foster communication among members who share interests.  ■

More information on the caucuses and the leadership positions open for election is posted here or available by email [email protected].
