Palmer Awarded

Christopher Palmer, M.D., the medical director for the department of postgraduate and continuing education at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass., is a winner of the AMA Foundation Leadership Award. The award is given annually to 75 medical students, residents, and young physicians who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in nonclinical and community service activities.

Palmer is active in the AMA, APA, and Massachusetts Medical Society. At Harvard Medical School, he teaches a second-year psychiatry course and serves on the Committee of Psychiatry Clerkship Directors and the Subcommittee on Courses and Credits. He also conducts research in substance abuse and is a private practitioner. ▪
