Gaw Receives Award

Albert C. Gaw, M.D., past speaker of the APA Assembly, received the 2004 Meritorious Service Award from the Northern California Psychiatric Society at an awards banquet in November 2004. The award is in recognition of Gaw's lifetime of distinguished service to psychiatry and his contributions at the local, state, and national levels. Gaw, a distinguished life fellow of APA, is medical director of quality management for community behavioral health services in the Department of Public Health for the city and county of San Francisco and a clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California Medical School at San Francisco. ▪
