COURSE 101: TREATING COMORBID ADULT ADHD BY COMBINING MEDICATION AND COGNITIVE THERAPY

Co-Directors: Anthony L. Rostain, M.D., J. Russell Ramsay, Ph.D. Educational Objective: At the conclusion of this course, the participant should be able to (1) recognize the primary comorbidities of ADHD as they manifest themselves in adult patients; (2) develop a case formulation and treatment plan that addresses both the ADHD symptoms and comorbid conditions; (3) prescribe effective medications in a systematic fashion; and (4) apply basic concepts from cognitive therapy to improve functional status and treatment outcomes.
