Monday, May 23

10 a.m.-11 a.m.   How to Establish a Forensic Psychiatric PracticeChowallur Chacko, M.D. Tailored to the IMG audience, this session will put particular emphasis on matters of interest to residents, fellows, and early career psychiatrists. Opportunities and challenges offered by the field of forensic psychiatry to IMGs also will be reviewed.

Tuesday, May 24

9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.   The Certification Nuts and Bolts for IMGsRodrigo Muñoz, M.D. This session will explore the stumbling blocks to success and other matters relevant to learning and fully understanding the oral examination process of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.   J-1 Visas and the IMG Physician: An UpdateMarie-Claude Rigaud, M.D. This session will look at the status of J-1 visa waiver programs and other IMG issues precipitated by September 11, 2001.

1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.   Private Practice: Promises, Joys, Dilemmas, and RealitiesNorma Panahon, M.D. This session will offer practical insights on establishing and maintaining a private practice and overcoming barriers in private practice.
