Last month psychiatrists got a chance to thank her and to network with other Hawaii lawmakers at a reception at the Waikiki Aquarium during the interim meeting of the AMA's House of Delegates. Lingle told attendees that her state—home to many military families—was confronted with the challenge of meeting the mental health needs of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
