Kennedy to Talk Parity

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) will discuss the quest for access to mental health care at APA's 2007 annual meeting in San Diego. He will present his talk, “The Road to Equity: Marching Toward a Just Treatment of Mental Illness and Addiction in America,” on Monday, May 21, at 9 a.m. in the San Diego Convention Center.

Other notable lecturers include Kitty Dukakis, who will present “The Healing Power of Electroconvulsive Therapy” on Monday, May 21, at 2 p.m.; and Nobel Laureate John Nash, the brilliant mathematician who persevered despite having paranoid schizophrenia. He will present the William C. Menninger Memorial Lecture at APA's Convocation on Monday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m. Both lectures will be held in the San Diego Convention Center.
