Several DSM Codes Recently Changed To Match ICD

Effective October 1, several DSM-IV-TR diagnostic codes were changed to match the annually revised codes in the Fiscal 2009 version of the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM).

The diagnostic codes of interest to psychiatrists appear below.

The changes have been made in the online version of DSM-IV-TR, available by subscription at<www.psychiatryonline.com>.
