APA's 100% Club Gains Another Member Program
The psychiatry residency program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita has become a member of APA's 100% Club.
“I believe the fact that we are a member of APA's 100% Club is one of the indicators of the high quality of our program,” said Don Brada, M.D., the program's training director and assistant dean of the medical school. “It is also an indicator of the interest of our department and program in enhancing our profession.”
APA's 100% Club was created to encourage the directors and chairs of psychiatry residency programs to promote APA membership to their residents each year. Today programs that reach the goal of having all residents (100%) join APA receive a group photo mounted on a wooden plaque. Each program in the 100% Club also receives a major psychiatric textbook, and for each year all the residents are APA members, the residents get a subscription to Focus: The Journal of Lifelong Learning. The textbook and journal are published by American Psychiatric Publishing Inc.
