APP Books Included in Book Index

Research published in books by American Psychiatric Publishing (APP), APA's publishing division, will now be easier to cite because APP has been selected to have its books appear in Thomson Reuters' Book Citation Index.

With the vast amount of information available today, researchers rely on citation indices to identify the best resources for their research. Until now, no resource has been available to provide citation information on research published in books.

In addition, as part of Thomson Reuters' Web of Science, the Book Citation Index allows researchers to search across books, journals, and conference proceedings. The index also links directly to a library's holdings to increase the visibility of an institution's collections and subscriptions.

The Book Citation Index is slated to launch this month.
