Winners of Poster Competition for Resident/Medical Students Announced

Abstract

The winners of APA’s Resident/Medical Student Poster Competition were announced at APA’s 2023 Annual Meeting. The competition is an Annual Meeting tradition that allows residents and medical students to attend the meeting, present their research, and be recognized for quality work.

Eligible participants can submit abstracts for posters in five categories: Community Psychiatry, Clinical Case Studies, Curriculum Development and Education, Patient-Oriented Care and Epidemiology, and Psychosocial Research. All submitted posters are presented at APA’s Annual Meeting, and winners receive a medal and bragging rights for themselves and their institutions.

Clinical Case Studies Award

Patient-Oriented Care Award

  • Presenter: Alexandra Yoon, M.D., of Children’s National Hospital

Psychosocial and Biomedical Award

  • Presenter: Ayana Roy, M.D., of Dell Medical School of the University of Texas at Austin
